Don't Wait, Make It Happen

Are you one of those who wait quietly for things to happen. There is absolutely nothing bad in waiting. The only problem is the good part might have gone to those who are on the move, before those sitting in waiting room get the left over.
I know patience is a virtue, and we all need to learn the place of patience. But we need to learn the place of Timing. Good timing is a gateway to some new exciting stages in life.
When to wait. ...... and when to make it Happen.
If you sat all the days waiting, what if what you are waiting for is equally waiting for you?
I want to be on the move and I want the opportunities to meet me ready and set. Get up and make it work! You get older each day so why are you still on the Rest-Chair?
Let the Chances and Opportunities meet you well prepared.

On The Way Up

When you are on a surface level for a while ,you definitely will enjoy the ambience. Smooth soft easy.... and often times it becomes a 'Comfort Zone'
Nobody likes leaving the comfort zone, its not easy at all in any way. But when we're ripe for a new level, especially if you're walking in line with God's purpose for your life, even if you're not ready, He puts you on that journey to the top.
......when the journey starts, remember its a trip to the TOP. Its like you're climbing a hill. Its hard, its difficult, painful, not easy.
       On this Trip ,you will lose many things; weights will start dropping........... What weights you ask? Friends, colleagues, family, friends, even hope, determination, may start failing too, but Focus will keep you taking those hard steps and hard knocks and keeping on. Grace will keep you moving when your strength fails.
At some stage, you may start looking for shortcuts or going back to your comfort zone. NEVER do that, Just Keep Walking, keep moving.
Mostly at the tip of the top, you may find you're alone and helpless, it gets even more difficult and tempting to go back, thats when you're almost there. The next few very hard and difficult steps will land you There. And THERE, you can and will look back and smile. Seeing and enjoying the view from standing on top. Seeing how far you have come, looking at those who dropped on the journey with you. Its all to tell you the way up is harder than you think. But the view is more beautiful there.
Keep Holding on, you just might be on the verge of something Greater.

Make it a September to Remember

It's 9 months, so soon..... how time flies....
I can actually sit now and clearly recall how we all screamed Yaay its 2014, and here is 2014 going going going. ....again. hmmmmmmm...... time truly flies,and waits for no man.
Some of us, just like me are wishing we could add more hours to the day, or hold the year down a bit so we can achieve more records. .... but, pity, NO we can't.  It's running, you'd better get those trainers and sneakers on and race on...
     Sitting back, I can look up, think a little and actually say I have tried...... I may not be where I wish to be yet, I may not have all I wish I could have, but I have ensured I justified each day of this year the best way I could.
Here I am, staring at the few weeks left; only one thing is sure, and that is telling myself to get on the track and pick up the race even at a better speed. 2014 must not go without me fulfilling my part. ..... what about You?
Those dreams, vision, Goal, is the same zeal and enthusiasm you kicked off with in January still burning?
And if the year ends just like that, what will your report be?
The weather won't always be favourable, the conditions won't always be pleasing. .... Only the lazy man looks for excuses.... achievers go for it at all cost.
Are you still waiting for that Job, contract etc...... While in the waiting room, invest that time, it will only yield additional result.
Get up, make this a September to Remember. .... Time waits for no one

Oftentimes, I've seen in some people around me the desire and zeal to be great, ...... Of course, everyone wants to be someone.  But this zeal needs enough self Backup to work.......
A friend and I happened to get talking to a younger girl yesterday, and I realised all we were saying looked like we were just picking on this teenager. Seeing this, I told her, 'we can only talk , advise, scold, and do many more, None of it would work. The only thing that can work is what you say to yourself'
  No matter the sermons you hear, the motivational lectures you listen to, You will still be Your best Preacher. What you say to yourself will matter in million ways more than what anyone says to you.
As long as we're the only one that knows what's inside of us, others can only suggest and advise.
If you have such great passion to succeed in any area of interest, then sit and make plans. Prayers will work with the steps you take.
If you're still waiting for the chances to come without proper preparation, when it comes it may go unnoticed.
Seek knowledge more and more daily, you dream of being a speaker? Develop your skills, knowledge and Grammar. Nothing puts your audience off more than your lack of expertise.
I don't think I would have come this small way far if I had only seen myself as a 'tailor' . I had a bigger picture, I put it in front of me daily, and I press towards it step by step. I keep pressing, taking all my chances.
Step out Bold. The opportunity you are waiting for is equally waiting for You.

Fashion School beyond sewing and cutting. ......

I like the defining my work.
People often ask, "are you a tailor?" And I always reply,  "Yes, and more"
Apart from being a trained Journalist, which is still in the blood *winks*   I am more than a tailor, I speak, coach, train, raise, cook (lol), and a million other jobs I multitask on.
The moment you realize your duty goes beyond what you're doing presently, then you start seeing life on a wider scope.
    Why should you as a designer or stylist get involved in certain discussions with people and not have good idea and contribution to the issues.
We raise our students at DGV Fashion Academy as embodiments of knowledge, we do our best to ensure you should be sound and versed in many other areas apart from the sewing skills acquired.
         Like I said, don't just be all beauty, all good looks, pack some good brains in your luggage. It makes you stand head tall even in your field.
We had a great kick off in class this morning, wish I could put it all in words. The idea is, there's a lot more to you if only you dare to dig deeper and get the gold out.
