TREND LEADERS. DGV Fashion Academy Rocks truly!!!

I recall when some of them walked in.... the hope on their faces, the fears in their eyes; the anticipation as the days moved, everyone ready to learn and prove they are in for it and ready to show the world what's in them. when the showcased at the anniversary, I was more than awed and humbled. and grateful that these ones had chosen the good path.

 these designs by Naheemah who had only been at the academy for less than 3 months

 Mrs Omotehinse, didn't waste her time even with a little pretty baby girl to nurse, she made sure her few months at the academy was fully maximized....

 Mrs Olagbade, in d middle of these girls, is one of our oldest mummys on the block, she took her time to learn with all humility, and even sent her daughter to train with us, no wonder shes making great waves in the city of IB today.

 Adeola, My oyinbo natured babe; had only been with us for about 2 months before the event too, and as her profile dazzled the audience, so did her designs and collection. thumbs up!

 Oyin-Oyin, 'robotopompom', uncles mini baby, humble ,cool and calm had designs u would want to give anything for, a serving corper when she joined the academy, now a full blown fashion stylist/designer.

 my chinkoistic Peroo! this guy almost got the hall rocking with claps when his collection floored the stage. WHAO!!! and his Exit wth his little model, was simply superb!

 Mrs Toun, hmmmm.......very quiet, a lady of few words, deep and sound. this woman would hardly speak, but her works.....speak wonders......!!! coming with her few weeks baby to start the Academy was a great sacrifice, but the price is worth it now, baby Sulton now the cute model for mummy.

BJnson, as we fondly call him, Bolaji ,a fine artist before adding the skill of designing and styling to his CV, never ceases to daze us with his designs, I fondly call him 'circle circle- square square' . keep rocking!

     what if they had procrastinated? what if they had held back? what if they had spent the time wishing, waiting for the perfect time that will never come?
it only tells us, use the time you have now.

the time some have spent waiting, especially in the face of the present situation in our universities; some wise ones have spent this time well and made something tangible from it.

The Ambience of the "Ember" Amber.

Hmmmmmm........ Exactly, just like amber lights. ...the Ember months are here and we are privileged to be part of the 2013 version. ....We thank thee oh Lord......
       I can clearly recall just like yesterday when we all shouted "Happy New Year"....... New Resolutions, new Decisions, new, new, new....
How new are they now??? And gradually, the year is ending. ......will you just give up? Or give in?
     I had a broad smile on my face again today when one of my students walked up to me and said "Aunty, thank you, see what I can do in just a short time" , I smiled and said "you made it easier when you made the decision to learn and decided to walk in here". This happens time to time and I always wonder 'is it really me?' - NO! Its them of course. If you don't speak and preach to yourself, others can only try.

    Making the decision to get that dream real, backed up by taking the necessary steps towards achieving it- is the right and perfect way to becoming that Great Someone in life.
      Each time my students smile and jump after completing a project, I see the joy of an achiever. And I get to wonder,  how many people are still procrastinating thereby depriving themselves of this joy....hmmmm.
        The Ember months' Amber are just beginning to flash now. You can still make that decision and achieve something before 2013 ends. .... September is here.....make hay before you start hearing Christmas carols...
    Get moving!  Keep Walking! JUST DO IT!

The Fashion School that's Topping the Game. DGV

I've always told myself what's worth doing at all, is just worth doing beautifully.
When the dream gradually turned reality, it still looked like a dream to me......maybe cos its still my dream job *winks*
    

I like seeing beautiful people , maybe that spurred me on. And the desire to multiply my impact. Hmmmmm.

Kicking off 3 years ago was not an easy task, but we started and here we are. DGV fashion academy topping the Game. 

Last week, I felt on top of the world seeing students that have only been here for as short as 3/4 weeks and as long as 3/6/9 months, showcasing world class designs. Whao! Its super fantastic! !!

The world had better get ready for these bold entrepreneurs. Cos we are taking over. 

Hmmmm, ok this is just calling out to you who has the dream that tows along this line. Get up! Make a move. The future is here. Lets start making that impact!

The wonders of Skill.

Its always amazing knowing and realizing that no one Is empty. Every one of us has a talent. The only difference is while some are developing theirs, others are leaving it unattended to........
Being an instructor in DGV Fashion Academy is a lesson for me every single day, especially seeing people who came with little or no drive becoming class leaders full of resounding creativity. ..........
And the ambience is a plus to any ready mind......what more makes you learn like having the correct type of brains and positive minds around you.....And what makes someone like me happier than being in d midst of these people.......
Class daily drama is enough to make you laugh till tears drop and your belly aches.....LOL!!!
Different class character, each set with its own drama kings and drama queens. .......
hmmm if I'm not doing this, I wouldn't have been fulfilled. Staying in your Call and line is the best way you can live a fulfilled life.
