Timing. Training. Vision.

And here comes September. As always the days, the weeks, the months fly by and suddenly we realize we have been postponing too much and time is fast passing by. I know quite a couple of people who came to realize September is near only when August was about ending.
Certain factors in our dear nation made this year run by so fast. But if you had consciously woken up daily to think of making each day worth it, it really won't be a shock to see how much you would have accomplished by now.
Everybody loves and wants progress. But Not everyone works for it or towards it. Every one wants to be great, but not everyone can make the sacrifices involved in the process

PROCESS. I believe strongly in this word. Maybe because the life of a butterfly is a lesson I have refused to forget since school days. The Metamorphosis. If it will be beautiful, it has to go through a process. Unfortunately, the trend nowadays is - desiring the glory but not willing to go through the process / processes involved.
Stepping up the stairs is a conscious effort, no miracle will work some things for you and I until we walk and do our part. There is a ladder up, you can't jump the process in the life building, otherwise you will be gunning for fast failure.
Why do you want to be a sudden millionaire, a sudden boss, and not wanting to go through what people you look up to have been through. ?

Timing is the starting point. Understand what times are saying. Like the country presently is saying a lot of things that the wise ones can maximize and be happy they did. And others will only sit and complain until they realize time is gone.
If you don't act now, it maybe too late. What you have may be needed now and while you stay rumbling and still thinking of what to do, the need for it might pass. And it enters the "too late" mode.
Know and trust the timing.
The process takes time and that we all have to understand. Don't look for cheap fame, I've realized it brings more trouble and doesn't allow many to dig their roots in, resulting in premature births of vision which fails to stand the test of time.
Have a vision for what you want and how you want it. It happens. If you want to be an entrepreneur, what type? How do you want that business to influence others and convince the world you know what you are made of.?
Don't just see, see deeply and always write it down. Documentation is a gift becoming rare too soon. I've come to know that things we write down have a way of working for us.
Always move on. If something isn't working well, it's season may not be now. It's like having an iced block machine in the land of ice. You need to move to where your talent is needed. Don't force yourself staying where the vision my die.
Once you realize, Take action. Move and make the vision real. The ideas you have is not solely yours, someone is getting the same idea, so while you are there wasting time, the other person may get it done and fill in the need gap. ACT!
Value every minute. Avoid time wasters. They could be friends you can't do without, or gadgets etc. value the time given to you.
Whatever you know isn't always for public consumption. And when it is for public consumption, there should be a price attached even if it is a token of their time or cash. Giving for free most time makes people not add value to what they  are being given.
Action without preparation spells disaster.  Don't launch before your time. Work on yourself and what you want to show the world. Many are too fast to make 'others' see what they have. Preparation gets you stable and your feet firm standing.
When the vision is clear, we tend to believe - Yes I Am Ready- to let the world know what i have to offer. Wait a Sec, don't move before the green light comes on, you may run into danger. Timing and Training  walks hand in hand.
Self training.
No one goes into battle unprepared.
Your vision may burn inside you, but it should enable you to endure the wait, because you know it’s worth it to get it right.
Vision always precedes preparation.
Get it right and you would have gotten it well.Arrange in the right order.
Those standing the test of times have put it all in place to make it it well rooted and able to stand.
Remember , in times like this , the wise ones  use the moment to express what they have that is needed. Time will pass but those who can use it to their advantage would have.
If your service can replace what people would normally get with forex, get down and work to make your products or service able to stand the completion and gain acceptance.
Don't waste the opportunities flying around. Before you join the nagging and complaining wagon, think deep. This could be your chance to Shine.

Sewing Corners - Finishing Techniques

When it comes to the business of fashion, and with the recent trend of ready-to-wear, there is no shortcut to your finishing skills on that sewing project. It mostly provides the difference between the two statements - "where did you make this outfit?" And "where did you buy this outfit".
Generally, most believe the ready to wear takes more details than what the average tailor or fashion designer can make. I've often heard people say it's computer that makes the readymades. Well I'm waiting for that computer because I would love to have one too, to reduce the manpower and stress involved.
The attention given to ready to wears or off the counter wears make them unique and exquisite. It is believed the buyer will check every detail before purchasing. But this should be a regular and normal thing we do on all sewing projects, even though many skip them.
I've heard students say, when I'm done I will give it all it takes, it never happens. You get used to what you do constantly.
The finishing part at the base of the project is our focus today. Some projects are well put together and the only clause is the taping of the base or the corners. Constant practice can solve this if you put your mind to it when sewing your next project.
Especially the base of men's tops, turn in the corners should be done with every inch of detail. It says a lot about the designer and how much attention you pay to the tiny details.
Even when you are hemming the base, carefully fold the edges that they appear at an almost perfect view.
You can fold and sew the corners up like this the trim to achieve that perfect pointed turn-out before turning to finish the folding up of the base.
This will give that sharp look at the edge of the base.
The crisp look is always a style point when you see or notice a good looking and well made menswear.
Fold , cut and sew. Plus these, iron well till the edges are as sharp as. Your ironing is a key selling point you don't want to joke with.
Get the tapes on the neck and scissors in hand and get the magic on.
You can be better by the day if you put in a little extra daily on self improvement.

The CrossRoad of Plan B.

The rate of insecurity caused by the recent economic changes is daily on the rise. And many who have never questioned their stand in their work places are starting to. For those who have side businesses, they at least have a Plan B. For those who don't have, it's a different side of the coin entirely. The fear alone can be dangerous and cause other health risks.
When you get to a crossroad, it may be sometimes difficult to make a decision. The best bet is to at least have a plan hidden somewhere that can come in handy.
If you report to work daily and close with a low dose of contentment or satisfaction, something may be wrongly placed. Peradventure, you're not feeling fulfilled there. But before you opt out, weigh all options available.
You may decide to give the options some trial versions before deciding to go fully. It's seen that when people see others succeeding in a particular field, they tend to believe it is easy as it looks. It may not be the exact case, until you try.
Be sure you want to do it to avoid you giving up midway.
Do not resign or leave a job if you're uncertain. And if you're relieved of a job, before investing in a new business, be very sure. Investment should not be a trial and error case.
The best and safest time to have a Plan B is when you still have a Plan A going. Except the only plan you intend working on from the start is Plan A.
At every crossroad, look well before picking a route.

Chase Your Dream

As often said, chase your dream before others hire you to chase theirs. And yet we still have so many crashed and crushed dreams and visions. Yes. Because , many dream chasers had no personal dream but only a photocopy of someone else's dream.
The reason for so many failed vision today is because many people were acting like they had it all together when they had nothing. You don't have to rush to be a Boss, life is a process, and it happens in phases and stages.
Before you decide to chase a dream, have you sat to weight the pros and cons? Have you learned enough to keep you stayed on the journey. Because an in-prepared for journey is a failure from the beginning.  Don't wake up to repeat what you see someone else doing, you don't even know where they are coming from.
As a fashion teacher ,I have met a lot of people and I end up realizing that, the need to be a boss quickly is the main reason we have many crafts people but less skilled and proficient ones.
Professionalism is built and helped by experience. Nothing compares to a deep and full well of experience. It makes you avoid many pitfalls.
Don't be all about the money , the game etc. be all about quality. Let your works be good enough to represent you even if you're not there.
Learn your art so well that you become a master.
